In order to ensure the highest quality products to its customers, the production process has been organized in such a manner, to decidedly limit the participation of possible sub-contractors. The concentration of all the workshops and specialists in one place (starting with the welding and aluminium processing workshop, the composite materials workshop, woodworking shop, grinding shop, paint shop and upholstery shop,  and ending with the technical workshop and the materials storage rooms) enables direct supervision over the subsequent stages of production, which decidedly increases work efficiency.At the same time, constant supervisions and the presence of the engineering design office will enable quick reactions and decision-making in the event of the need of introducing possible change or adjustments to the project.  Such a layout of the works has a significant influence on the yacht completion time, and also facilitates quality control over each stage of production. In 2009, the shipyard begun the introduction of Lean Manufacturing into its structure, thereby improving the quality of every stage of production and reducing to all material and time loss to a minimum.

As for the construction materials, the Sunreef Yachts shipyard is one of the few yards in the world building semi custom yachts utilizing an epoxy resin system and high performance carbon fibre products via vacuum infusion introduced to the construction process in 2007. As for custom projects, the client has a choice to opt for aluminium or high tech composites.

Aluminium yachts - We use widely known and highly appreciated types of aluminium alloy such as Sealium and Alustar among others, which have become the international industry standard for cruising yachts. These types of alloy optimise the overall performance of vessels in general as they make them more robust, safer, and user-friendly.

High tech composites - We also use sandwich composite construction and super-light materials in the construction of yachts. Depending on the project, we use polyester, vinyl ester or epoxy resin combined with glass, carbon or Kevlar fibre with core materials like balsa, PVC foam or honeycomb if necessary. We use hand layup and infusion methods depending on the manufactured element. In addition, Sunreef Yachts is a rare example in the world of a shipyard that manufactures high-tech composite elements such as carbon rudders, carbon masts and booms, all in-house.

All yachts are certified Bureau Veritas, CE and built under MCA rules which is the best guarantee of their supreme quality all around the world.
